Randy Orton recently described how he passed the time on a nearly eight-hour bus ride from Knoxville, Tennessee to St. Louis, Missouri on Twitter yesterday morning when he mentioned playing Ring of Elden. This prompted a fan to ask Orton what his character’s rank was, to which the WWE Superstar gave a hefty response of 527. This in turn led to a flurry of other Twitter users speculating that ‘Orton had to do a fair amount of grinding to get his Terni’s experience this high, as well as asking him which spells he prefers and the general build of his Ring of Elden avatar.
Randy Orton reaching a rank of 527 in the game is indeed no small feat, because Ring of Elden maintains developer FromSoftware’s reputation for extremely challenging RPG experiences that require a lot of practice and patience to master. Still, Ring of Elden has built up a large fanbase since its release in February, where it quickly became one of the best-selling releases of 2022 so far. This even includes notable celebrities like Boba Fett’s Book co-star Ming-Na Wen, who was featured in a live action Ring of Elden trailer shortly after the game’s record-breaking launch. Famed writer George RR Martin, who helped create Ring of Eldenalso celebrated the game’s popularity by posting a photo of himself wearing Blade of Miquella’s Malenia helmet on social media.
It’s always interesting to see famous people like Randy Orton enjoying video games as much as the fans lining up to see them play, especially when they reveal they’ve put several hours into the latest big title like Ring of Elden. WWE fans already know that Orton is a dominant force in the squared circle, and now it looks like he’s ruling Lands Between with an unusually high tarnished ranking.
