Which celebrities supported Johnny Depp in the defamation lawsuit with Amber Heard?

The relationship between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as co-stars, married couple and now ex, has been strained to say the least.
Depp, who is generally known for his role in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, is suing Heard for defamation over an opinion piece she wrote for the Washington Post and is asking for $50 million. Heard is also counter-suing for $100 million.
The intense libel lawsuit has put Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s tumultuous ex-relationship under the microscope, as their time together is exposed, warts and all.
Amid the proceedings – and Depp’s earlier lawsuit against The Sun – a number of famous people have shared their thoughts on the matter, with Heard and Depp respectively receiving support from some stars.
Many big names have taken sides, defending one and criticizing the other, since already 2016 before the accusations started flying.
While Julia Fox is one of the main celebs to publicly support Heard and Drew Barrymore thinks they’re both “crazy”, here’s what celebs have said in support of Depp…
Chris Rock
The comedian and actor reacted to the high-profile libel case during his show at the Royal Albert Hall, saying: “Believe all women, believe all women… Except Amber Heard.”
Joe Rogan
Joe Rogan always seems to make headlines for expressing controversial opinions. On his popular podcast, he said he was “watching this trial” and called Heard “crazy.”
Kate Moss
Supermodel Kate Moss testified as evidence in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard libel case: “He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down the stairs. ”
Moss, who dated Johnny Depp for four years before they broke up in 1997, thought back to a time when the couple were on a break in Jamaica and she lost her balance on the stairs.
“Johnny left the room before me. There had been a thunderstorm and as I left the room I slipped down the stairs. I hurt my back. And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened and I was in pain. She said Depp came running to help her, “carried me to my room and got me treated.”
winona ryder
Johnny Depp’s ex, Winona Ryder, showed him wholehearted support during the 2022 trial. She said, “He was never abusive to me” and “The idea that he’s an incredibly violent is the furthest thing from the Johnny I knew and loved.”
Elon Musk
Heard’s ex and Tesla’s product architect remained neutral, saying on Twitter, “They’re each amazing” and “Hope they both move on.”
What shall we do now?
Heard’s attorney claims that “Mr. Depp just can’t prove to you that he never abused Amber,” but that has to be decided by the jury. Specifically, it will be up to the jury to decide the verdict on whether Amber Heard defamed her ex. -husband.
The jurors began their consideration of the verdict on Friday, but did not reach a full agreement or a verdict as of the end of the proceedings.
While jurors are bound by legal definitions of defamation in arriving at their decision, the millions of viewers around the world watching the trial, and of course the celebrities who weighed in, are free to come to their own conclusions.
