Trent Reznor would rather win an Academy Award over a Grammy Award
Since launching his career, Reznor has criticized the music industry and the Grammy Awards. In a 2014 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reznor said it was “hard to feel good” when winning a Grammy Award. However, the musician finds merit at the Oscars.
“After winning a few Grammys for stupid shit – best metal performance – it’s hard to feel good about the integrity of that. If that’s how careful you are with what you give, why should I think it really means anything? Reznor said of the Grammy Awards.
He continued: “When the Oscar [nomination] came, it was very different. I can’t say if it’s because I’m older or if it felt like it came from a more sincere pedigree. … And particularly in an area that we had just gotten ourselves into, to see that, “Hey, you think [we] deserve this? ‘ It was nice.

Nine Inch Nails musician works frequently with David Fincher
Reznor and Ross have scored several films directed by David Fincher. During the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reznor gave details of his work on Social network.
“Social network was informative and inspiring. The way David edits a movie isn’t much different from the way I make music, ”Reznor told The Hollywood Reporter. “He will have 30, 50, a hundred takes in his arsenal and the ability in the editing room to consider tone and momentum. … We had to redo the music probably 40 times. But the pace was getting tighter and more interesting. Suddenly the times when you could have reached for a piece of popcorn, they’re gone.
Most recently, Reznor and Ross co-produced Halsey’s fourth studio album. If I can’t have love I want power.
