In another from america epidemics, many former celebrities or celebrities over the years have been convicted of child pornography. This is the case of the former reality TV star Josh Dugar, who has just been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for these charges by a federal judge in Arkansas. U.S. District Timothy Brooks was quick to sentence him to 20 years of probation after his release from prison and a $10,000 fine.
Meanwhile, Duggar has been ordered not to have any type of unsupervised contact with minors or he will go straight back to slammer. Over the years, there have been many different cases of famous people like Duggar with similar charges. Jared from Subway Commercials immediately comes to mind.
Duggar shot to fame on TLC’s reality show “19 Kids Matters.” It depicted the life of a Christian family that was regularly followed by cameras. Duggar was the oldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar.
Following allegations that Josh molested girls as teenagers, including two of his sisters, the show was canceled in 2015. Duggar’s two sisters spoke during a Fox News interview about their terrifying experience with their older brother. Despite these allegations, Duggar was never charged for them but he fell in love with these new ones.
Duggar’s parents were before him during sentencing.
In the decision that defense and prosecution have agreed to, Duggar was found guilty of two counts of knowingly receiving and possessing child pornography. Both of his parents were in the front row of the courthouse when he was sentenced to those 12 years in prison.
Additionally, there’s a chance that Duggar’s sentence will increase even further if inquests find he knowingly distributed child pornography, though that has yet to be confirmed. Josh’s legal team also told the jury that he still maintains his innocence and plans to appeal the conviction.
