People in Stitches as John Fury reveals one of his famous “sessions”
People were shocked after John Fury revealed exactly what he got up to during his famous party sessions.
The 54-year-old recently appeared on the True Geordie podcast where he talked about his life and his famous sons.
Former boxer Fury was asked why he took such a long hiatus from the sport when he was young, to which he replied: “To tell you the truth, I went to party. partying in Spain and around the world.
“And I skinned myself, the woman left me, the children left me – I was just a party animal.
“I was like ‘I’m earning £ 250, I’ve got a day job, I’m going to enjoy some kind of life.’ A month or two, solid – that’s been going on for almost four years.”
He was then asked, “What does a top John Fury session look like?” What kind of party are we talking about here? How deep was it?
To which he replied, “How deep was? Three or four brass instruments every evening. Two or three bottles of whiskey. If there were drugs, I would have them and everything.
As you can imagine, Fury’s candid confession caused a stir on social media with one person writing on Twitter: “This is the best John Fury clip I’ve ever seen.”
Someone else wrote: “Blokes af ***** g legend.”
While another commented, “John Fury is my kind of guy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Fury said he would “walk away” from his son Tommy if he failed to take out Jake Paul in the ring.
Fury instantly ended the suggestion that it could be “close combat” by saying, “No chance. If it’s close combat, Tommy is retired.”
He continued, “If Tommy beats him and struggles to beat him, he’s retired from boxing.”
When asked why he felt so strong, John explained, “He [Jake Paul] is a YouTuber. He must knock out Jake Paul. He has to box him and knock him out, he’s a YouTuber.
“And I don’t waste my time with people in the gym because I don’t have much time left at 56, so I’m not going to be training with someone I don’t trust. So I said to him, ‘Unless you knock him out, buddy, forget about me with the boxing.’ I am leaving.”
