Larry Elder, conservative black rival in Newsom recall, downplays racism in America
SACRAMENTO – Of the three dozen Republican candidates hoping to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom in the recall election, perhaps none has a larger national audience than Larry Elder.
The conservative radio host, known as “Sage of South Central”, has millions of weekly listeners thanks to his subscription show in Los Angeles. He ran in California’s Sept. 14 recall election on Monday, four days before the nomination deadline.
