Katy Cavanagh has had a long acting career dating back to the ’90s, but she will forever be known as the adorable Julie Carp of Coronation Street.
She played the Underworld Worker from 2008 to 2015, and fans were devastated when the actress announced she was leaving Weatherfield.
In a statement announcing her departure from the soap opera, Katy said, âI decided it was time to take a break from the streets and pursue other projects and opportunities.
âI loved every minute of Julie Carp’s world and I don’t rule out a return to the Street in the future. However, I look forward to a new challenge and a pair of flats.â
Since then, Katy has not only continued to appear on our screens, but has been the voice of a popular supermarket and also manages the career of her very famous actor son.
Some of the UK’s biggest celebrities have become the voices of some of our favorite supermarkets, and Katy Cavanagh has joined in on the action as well.
In 2014, she was the voice of Island Supermarket, and in the past, viewers could recognize her voice from a number of other commercials.
It was reported that previously Katy had also provided voiceover for companies such as Sainsburys, British Gas, Harvey Nichols and Andrex.

Since leaving the cobblestones of Coronation Street in 2015, Katy has continued to star in hit TV series, including Birds of Feather as Miss Howe, Moving on as Clare, and Lena Ferrera as Midsomer Murders.

He has since appeared in A Quiet Place and the sequel to the hit movie, A Quiet Place II – all at the age of 16.
Katy Cavanagh fans were also amazed when they found out that her son was one of the stars of the hit drama The Undoing, alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant, as their onscreen son Henry Fraser. .

Speaking of having his mother backing him up, Noah Jupe told The Independent, âIt’s a crazy world out there, and it’s just as much if not crazier in Hollywood or in the film industry.
“So having this close circle of people that I trust, my family or close friends, is very important.”
The talent doesn’t end there though, as Katy’s youngest son Jacobi is also filming his first role as Michael Darling in Disney’s live-action Peter Pan movie.
