The showbiz world is celebrating another birthday for California-born icon Eastwood. Twitter has been flooded with tributes to the Oscar-winning director, including Warner Bros. A new report published in April by Wealthy Gorilla estimates that since his first uncredited role in the first film Revenge of the Creature in 1955, Eastwood – sometimes dubbed the “richest cowboy in the world” – has amassed a fortune of around $375m (£297m).
Her wealth was undoubtedly enhanced by the star’s stellar catalog of films, which cemented her status as one of the greatest pin-ups in film history.
Along with performances in the likes of Dirty Harry, Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino, Eastwood cemented his status among theatergoers in the legendary Spaghetti Westerns of the ’60s.
He starred in all three Sergio Leone Dollars films, as the Man With No Name, which earned Eastwood some of his early rave reviews.
