Buffalo Pizzeria named one of the 50 best in the United States
Most people across the country think of two great pizza cities: New York and Chicago. For good reason; these are two of the largest markets in America and offer two very distinct styles of pizza (thin crust and deep dish).
But here in western New York, we know that Buffalo is definitely a contender for one of the best pizza destinations in the country, and those who visit Buffalo are generally in awe of the quantity and quality of the pizzerias here in the country. western New York.
A local pizzeria celebrates a major recognition, which extends across the country.
According to WIVB, Jay’s artisan pizza has been named one of America’s best pizza places by one of Italy’s most respected wine and food blogs. He arrived at number 28 out of 50.
Jay’s is not Buffalo style, but more of a Neapolitan style pizza.
The pizzeria has received a lot of praise since it opened a few years ago and is now run by a 23 year old owner named Joe Powers.
Powers took over from former owner and founder Jay. He now works directly with local artisans and serves wood-fired pizzas that keep customers coming back.
The Neapolitan style pizza is excellent. I always have a soft spot for Buffalo Pizza, but when done right the Neapolitan style is fantastic, and Jay’s does it well. I think they will receive more accolades over time.
Jay’s will reopen on July 13 and is located on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore.
